Mark got his love of wood from growing up on a farm in Northern Ireland and spending time in forests and countryside. Moving to the Isle of Man over 20 years ago, he began working as a tree surgeon and his inspiration to create from the wood he cut down began to grow. He now works in woodturning, wall hangings, sculpture and bespoke furniture, using native Manx woods including elm, yew, laburnum, and cherry. Every piece has full provenance and virtually zero carbon miles, inspired by the natural beauty of the Island.
