Getting to Ramsey

Ramsey is about 20 minutes from Douglas via the A18 mountain road or the A3 coast road. Both routes are scenic.

Parking: Free on-street parking on Parliament Street and surrounding streets. The Mooragh Park car park is a two-minute walk away and also free. No meters, no time limits.

Getting to the Isle of Man

By sea: The Isle of Man Steam Packet runs ferries from Liverpool, Heysham and Dublin to Douglas. The crossing takes around 2.5 to 4 hours depending on the vessel.

By air: Ronaldsway Airport has direct flights from London, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Belfast, Dublin and Edinburgh. The airport is about 30 minutes from Ramsey by car.

By bus: Regular bus services run from Douglas to Ramsey (route 3/3A). The journey takes about 40 minutes. The bus station is a five-minute walk from the gallery.

Pink Seaweed is the Isle of Man's largest independent art gallery, bringing together over 100 local artists and makers under one roof. You will find original paintings, ceramics, handmade jewellery, sculpture, prints, textiles, photography and more.

Everything in the gallery is made by artists who live and work on the Isle of Man. There is no filler stock, no mass-produced imports, no generic gifts. Just real work, made with care, by people who love what they do.

Whether you are looking for a specific piece, a meaningful gift, or just want to browse, you are welcome. No pressure, no hard sell. Take your time, ask questions, enjoy the space.

Prices range from under £10 for small prints and cards to several hundred for original paintings and larger pieces. There is something for every budget.

While you're in Ramsey

Make a day of it. Ramsey has a thriving independent high street, beautiful coastline and plenty to explore.

Parliament Street has independent cafes and restaurants within steps of the gallery. Good coffee, proper food, no chains.

Mooragh Park and the promenade are minutes away. The coastal path north to the Point of Ayre is one of the island's best walks. The Ramsey Art Trail takes you through the town's street art and creative landmarks.

Independent shops

Parliament Street is one of the last genuinely independent high streets in the British Isles. Bookshops, vintage, homeware, food. All independent, all worth your time.

Ramsey harbour is a working harbour with fishing boats, a swing bridge and views across the bay to North Barrule. It is a five-minute walk from the gallery.
